Our services
Academics
Educational therapy helps students “learn how to learn.” It provides them with skills and strategies to manage learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Our educational therapists identify and fill in learning gaps, while helping students find and feel confident in their best academic selves.
Parent Coaching
Many parents struggle to find effective strategies
for supporting their neurodivergent children. We offer parent coaching alongside educational therapy so parents have the tools they need to help their children thrive.
Executive Functioning
Strong executive functioning skills are essential to becoming an independent learner—the ultimate goal of educational therapy. Whether a student is struggling with time management, organization, procrastination, impulsivity, distractibility, planning, or all of the above, our educational therapists are here to help. We tailor strategies and instruction to each student’s unique learning profile.
Screening Test
Our screening measure provides a roadmap to help find the right support for your child. We assess students in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning, and also screen for potential ADHD, autism, and socio-emotional challenges. We then provide a written report, summarizing our findings and recommendations for your child.
Does my child need Educational Therapy?
If your child or adolescent has never been identified by specialists or school personnel, you may have observed some of the following indicators:
delay in learning language
difficulty maintaining concentration, remembering, and/or paying attention
loss of self-esteem
avoidance or resistance to going to school or participating in typical activities
lack of progress at school, along with questions about their ability to learn or benefit from school
needing excessive time and support to get homework or other academic tasks done
struggles with schoolwork that increase as the schoolwork becomes harder
discouragement and withdrawal
If your child or adolescent has been identified by a specialist or school personnel, you may still find that:
your child seems to require individualized interventions beyond those offered at school.
your child is receiving services from multiple specialists, and you need assistance in coordinating services.
you need assistance in interpreting reports and recommendations from other specialists who work with your child.
Educational Therapy for Adults
Indicators for adults who would benefit from educational therapy include:
difficulty organizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
difficulty learning to complete tasks expected in the workplace.
a need for complicated compensatory strategies to mask difficulties with reading and writing in the workplace.
never having attained the skills to function in a workplace that requires reading and writing.
